Beckham ready for World Cup challenge

World Cup chiefs plan record tribute

2010 looks like it will be a busy year for David Beckham. Now back at LA Galaxy and into the play-offs things are going well. With a loan move back to AC Milan planned for January, David is looking to get fit in time for the World Cup in South Africa.

World Cup organisers are in discussions with Beckham’s representatives about a possible ceremony to celebrate if he breaks Peter Shilton’s England caps record. Whether he will make Fabio Capello’s squad for the tournament however is yet to be seen, but he has the backing of Chelsea captain and England team mate John Terry. If he breaks the record during the tournament, organisers plan to involve Nelson Mandela in a ceremony to celebrate the achievement.

Fulfilling his commitments to LA Galaxy, England and possibly AC Milan too will ensure that Beckham clocks up the airmiles over the next year. Not forgetting his charity work and advertising for Adidas, Motorola and Emporio Armani, David will be spending a fair amount of time travelling. A high quality, leather bag is an essential part of his airport outfits. Both stylish and practical, a large travel bag carries everything a busy dad of three could need at the airport and looks great at the same time.
